▲ BODY ACCEPTANCE YOGA & BRUNCH▲
Despite what Instagram, most magazines, and the majority of yoga brands will lead you to believe…YOGA IS NOT JUST FOR THIN, WHITE, ABLED BODIES! This restricted representation of yoga bodies means many people who live in different ones are anxious, scared, and put off from attending classes or practicing at home. In some circles and classes it can seem as though yoga has become less about reflection and more about competition…less about listening to your body and about seeing how quickly you can get into a headstand position…and we want to change this!
*please note brunch is not included in the ticket price, it will need to be paid for individually at the venue on the day.
Join us for morning of gentle and weight-inclusive yoga practice, suitable for beginners and those who want to work out how yoga can be suitable for their particular needs. Our aim is for this 90 minute workshop to allow you to find freedom, self-confidence and self-love in your yoga practice.
Be inspired by Donna, who runs Curvesome Yoga, to practice regardless of your age, size, shape, ethnicity, physical ability or your fear. Start on your journey to empowerment, self-acceptance and change. Learn how to practice safely and effectively to your specific needs. Above all, this is a chance to have fun with your yoga. This gentle class will focus on running into our inner GPS (voice) – helping you to realise that everyBODY is a yoga body, creating a practice based on self-care.
You will come away feeling empowered taking your yoga off the yoga mat into you every day life. And this is where the true yoga begins.
An optional brunch will be held after the workshop from 12pm upstairs at The Book Club. Please book the ticket ‘with brunch booking’ if you’d like to be included on the table, although this DOES NOT include the cost of the brunch will you need to pay for separately at the till. To get your tastebuds tantalised, check out the brunch options and delicious ‘zero-proof’ drinks menu here: http://www.wearetbc.com/
